SF40- FR is a shadow fixed cladding system using 40mm deep cassette panels that are overlapped with fixings placed discreetly in the panel joints offering a cost-effective facade solution. SF40-FR is mounted on a standard rainscreen subframe support system including standard helping hand brackets and T or L-Section rails. These helping hand brackets create the insulation/cavity zone and transfer the wind and dead loads to the wall. Colour matched stainless steel fixings are used in the panel recesses to mechanically fix the SF40-FR to the secondary support system. The Spanwall SF40-FR is a non-loadbearing drained and back ventilated cladding system.
Testing & Certification
SF40-FR is independently tested as a “through wall” system and carries BS8414-2:2015 Fire Performance Classification in accordance with BR135 (3rd edition): 2013 and is suitable for use on high rise buildings.
Spanwall chose the most rigorous test regime, assessing panels sizes much larger than the norm at the largest floor spans and deepest cladding zones practical, to prove that the SF40-FR fire rated rainscreen system is truly fit for whatever configuration you might specify.
SF40-FR is designated A2-s1,d0 to EN13501-1 (when PPC is applied to the aluminium substrate and A1 if Anodised) SF40-FR has passed the CWCT - Standard for systemised building envelopes - 2005 testing conducted by UL International (UK) Ltd at their Telford facility and comprised eleven individual tests including air leakage, water penetration, wind resistance and impact resistance, a copy of this technical report – R4790086764 – Rev 2 is available on request. SF40-FR independent test certificates and standard CAD drawings are available in Downloads via the Products tab.
The Spanwall SF40-FR rainscreen cladding system has been developed as an economical alternative to a hidden fixed Hook-on rainscreen cladding panel and is ideal for new builds or retrofit projects.
