On the grounds of the old central bank, central plaza is being extended and refurbished in Dublin’s city centre, previous GRP boxes are to be replaced with custom 3mm Aluminium fabricated Encasements.
Company Role
With the refurbishment of the old Central Bank HQ to a 73,100 sq ft commercial office space, it was deemed necessary to upgrade the existing GRP Macalloy encasements. 3mm Aluminium with a Black gloss PPC finish was decided upon as the material to replace it.
With the major design input from Spanwall, we worked with Architectural Aluminium to produce a perfect replica of the original encasements, the design met with the architect’s vision and also ensured ease of fitment on site as there were numerous hurdles to overcome from existing features.
The first phase of encasements have been fitted and the next phase is in the fabrication stage. There is a total of 84 individual boxes to be manufactured
