Facade Awards UK 2023
Spanwall, was recognised at the prestigious Façade Awards UK for its involvement in creating an innovative façade solution for leading hospitality group, Whitbread. Scope of the works involved a Hub by Premier Inn as well as commercial and office space.
In partnership with Alufix, the company won ‘Best use of a rainscreen system using a specialist metal’ for its groundbreaking façade system which was manufactured at their state-of-the-art facility in Belfast. The awards showcase pioneering projects and teams who champion innovation, pushing the boundaries on ever-evolving concepts and advancements.
Spanwall was awarded at the prestigious European Aluminium Awards for Industrial Design and Engineering for our work on Titanic Belfast. The award was announced at a ceremony in Dusseldorf. Spanwall and our material providers, Novelis, were awarded the prestigious ‘Jury Prize’. We were the winning entry out of 57 entries from 12 countries.
We have designed a number of innovative industry stand out solutions including a unique radar-absorbent cladding panel system for the British Airways World Cargo Building at Heathrow. Our work on this project resulted in us winning the ‘Design Council Millennium Products Award’ and, as a result, we are a member of the British Airports Group.
Spanwall was proud to pick up two Marketing Excellence Awards in Ireland. We were accredited with second place for Building and Civil Engineering Industries including Professional Services and Products and third place for Best New Product / Service Introduction Campaign.
